A happy & blessed 1st Sunday of Advent to you, dear reader!
“Brethren, knowing that it is now the hour for us to rise from sleep. For now our salvation is nearer than when we believed. The night is passed and the day is at hand. Let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and put on the armor of light. Let us walk honestly, as in the day: not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and impurities, not in contention and envy: but put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ.” (Romans 13:11-14)
I sincerely hope you all had a delightful Thanksgiving! We enjoyed a quiet, relaxed day at home …. grateful for each other (& you!) and the whole 9 yards of a good ol’ fashioned turkey dinner. The rest of the weekend followed suit. Quiet and relaxing, nibbling delicious leftovers and proved quite productive with preparations for this beautiful season. All but 1 child came down with ‘the crud’ and this morning found our part of the world tucked under 8 inches of snow so we’re embarking on our Advent journey a bit under the {quite snowy} weather!
