Misty veil dancing upwards, revealing azure blues.
Chilled dawns wrapped in flannelled plaids;
Skies and earth embrace in cloak of royal hues.
Lingering cups of coffee, sweet spices sprinkled into dishes.
Kissed by soft nostalgia, life is warmed and conversations deepened;
Wistful summer dreams giving way to cozy autumn wishes.
The reaper has claimed his crop, earth rests before it’s frozen sleep;
Make bountiful the harvest of gratitude and love.
Oh! Those riches the heart can evermore keep.
Books and blankets make merry, nature is captive to cooled windy grips.
As darkness gains early victories and bonfires snap
A golden moon looks upon blades of grass, standing still with frosted tips.
